Surfside Beach to Host 2nd End of Summer Fireworks Festival on Sept. 6

Surfside Beach will mark the end of the summer season on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, with the 2nd Annual End of Summer Fireworks Festival at the Surfside Beach Fishing Pier parking lot, located at 11 S. Ocean Boulevard. Admission to the community event is free.

The festival footprint includes live music, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and a children's area featuring face painting and a bounce house. The evening culminates in a pyrotechnic display launched from the town fishing pier over the Atlantic Ocean at approximately 9 p.m.

Local residents, holiday visitors, and Grand Strand commuters should prepare for specific event timing and logistics. Reserved specifically for tourism promotion, these restricted tax funds allow the town to host a major shoulder-season event over Labor Day weekend to support local restaurants, shops, and accommodations without relying on general property tax dollars.
