Horry County Fall 2026 Outdoor Event Calendar Set for Grand Strand

Horry County is entering its peak autumn outdoor season, with a packed calendar of community festivals, road races, and seasonal events running from mid-September through early November 2026. Local organizers, municipal governments, and civic clubs across the Grand Strand and inland communities are finalizing plans for traditional fall gatherings alongside brand-new community events.

The seasonal lineup kicks off on the north end with several overlapping mid-September events. The Society of Stranders (SOS) Fall Migration will fill North Myrtle Beach oceanfront shag clubs from September 18 through 27. On Saturday, September 26, the City of North Myrtle Beach will launch its new signature festival, NMB Live!, featuring three music stages and over 150 vendors along Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mid-September also brings the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally from September 25 through October 4 across the region. Inland, Aynor will host the 46th annual Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival on Saturday, September 19, featuring more than 140 craft booths, a morning parade, and a street dance.

October activities move heavily into inland and waterfront locations. Downtown Conway transforms into the "City of Halloween" throughout the entire month of October, including Witches, Wizards & Wine on October 8 and 22, and the Conway Ghost Walk from October 14 through 16. In Little River, the annual ShrimpFest takes place October 10 and 11 at the Historic Little River Waterfront, offering live music and over 200 vendors ($10 admission, children 12 and under free). Loris hosts the 47th annual Loris Bog-Off Festival on Saturday, October 17, alongside the Loris Bog Off "Chicken Run" 5K.

Area runners and active residents also have multiple race options on the schedule. The Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon and Coastal 5K takes place on Saturday, October 10. Later in the month, Horry County Parks and Recreation will host the Ghost of the Coast 5K on Saturday, October 24, at a new course based at the South Strand Recreation Center, accompanied by an on-site fall festival. Downtown Conway will close out the fall schedule with the Coastal Carolina University Homecoming Parade on Friday, November 6 at 3:30 p.m.

Residents planning to attend fall festivities should prepare for heavier local traffic on key collision weekends. Traffic and parking congestion are expected to be highest on September 25–26 in North Myrtle Beach, October 10 around Myrtle Beach and Little River, and October 17 in downtown Loris. Drivers are advised to plan extra travel time and double-check event details with local organizers prior to heading out.
