Featured place: LuLu's, the family end of the boardwalk

The loudest, most kid-forward room at Barefoot Landing — big waterside deck, casual coastal menu, and the one stop here where nobody minds a table of six under ten.

LuLu's North Myrtle Beach — Featured place: LuLu's, the family end of the boardwalk

LuLu's occupies the family corner of Barefoot Landing, and it plays the part deliberately: an open waterside deck, a menu built around fried baskets, sandwiches and frozen drinks, and enough outdoor noise that a restless table barely registers.

What it is good for: a late-afternoon stop between shops, a long lunch when the deck has shade, and groups that need a room with room. Large parties get seated here with far less friction than anywhere else on the strip, and nobody minds a table of six under ten.

What it is not: a quiet dinner. The deck runs loud by design, the music carries, and conversation across a long table is work. If you want the water without the volume, the marina-side dining rooms are a two-minute walk away and a different evening entirely.

How to use it: go early on weekends. Deck seats are first come, and once the strip's evening crowd arrives the wait is genuine. The inside tables are quieter but lose the reason you came. Frozen drinks and the casual coastal plates are the strong end of the menu; treat it as a beach-day room rather than a dinner reservation.

Seasonal hours change more than most places here — shoulder season closes earlier than the posted times suggest, so call ahead between Labour Day and spring.

The strip is longer than it looks and the lots fill in a fixed order. Twenty minutes of planning is the difference between a waterside table and a forty-minute wait.
