North Myrtle Beach Hosting Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

North Myrtle Beach is preparing for its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival, a major one-day event that transforms Main Street into a sea of green. The rain-or-shine celebration draws approximately 40,000 residents and visitors together to celebrate Irish heritage and mark the arrival of spring along the Grand Strand.

The festivities begin with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, recognized as the largest parade on the Grand Strand. Featuring over 100 parade entries, the procession carries a long history of community fun as crowds gather to line Main Street and watch the vibrant display pass by.

Immediately following the parade, the celebration transitions into a massive street festival centered around Main Street. Entertainment will be running throughout the day across three separate stages. Attendees can look forward to traditional live performances, including Irish pipe bands and Irish dancers, alongside street entertainers and festive leprechauns wandering through the crowd.

In addition to the live stage shows, the street festival features over 120 craft vendors displaying their goods. Food vendors and local Main Street businesses will offer a wide selection of traditional Irish treats as well as popular festival food favorites. Families bringing young children can visit a dedicated children’s area packed with rides and games designed for all ages.

The event offers local residents, families, visitors, and nearby business owners an opportunity to gather in downtown North Myrtle Beach for full-day outdoor entertainment. Because the festival takes place along Main Street and attracts tens of thousands of attendees, motorists and commuters should anticipate heavy foot traffic and plan extra time when traveling near the downtown area.
