Magnolia’s Family Plans New Meat-and-Three Restaurant in Conway

The family behind Magnolia’s at 26th Restaurant and Conference Center in Myrtle Beach is preparing to open a new dining spot, Magnolia’s Café, in Conway later this year. Following the early September closure of the longtime Myrtle Beach location, the family plans to welcome customers to the new site by Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 2026.

The upcoming restaurant will be located at 6017 Highway 701 North in Conway, situated about a mile north of the Highway 22 interchange. Unlike the previous Myrtle Beach operation, which was well known for its buffet service, the Conway location will feature a traditional meat-and-three menu setup.

Much of the food served at the new spot will come directly from the family's adjacent farm, bringing back favorite dishes with farm-fresh ingredients. The move to Conway marks a return to the family’s agricultural roots for founder Bobby Anderson, who worked as a farmer before launching his first restaurant in the 1980s. The new facility is being built next to Anderson's childhood home.

The venue will continue to operate as a multi-generational family business. Anderson’s children, Michelle Sturzenbecker and Jason Anderson, are managing the new location alongside Ray Cassidy, an executive and business partner of more than 33 years. Sturzenbecker’s oldest son, Dylan Jollie, is also joining the team as part of the third generation entering the business.

Meanwhile, the original Magnolia’s location on 26th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach remains closed after the family sold the property in December. While a notice posted on the door indicated that future plans are in store for the Myrtle Beach site, specific details regarding that property have not yet been released publically.

Grand Strand residents and area commuters traveling along Highway 701 can watch for the new cafe to open near the Highway 22 interchange as construction wraps up ahead of the holiday season.
