Highway 31 Southbound Blocked Following Horry County Woods Fire

Drivers along Highway 31 experienced traffic disruptions on Saturday afternoon, September 19, 2026, following a small woods fire that prompted emergency responses and lane closures in Horry County.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded at approximately 1:40 p.m. to the incident located along Highway 31 between International Drive and Highway 501. Responding firefighters found a woods fire estimated at less than an acre in size.
