North Myrtle Beach Sets Dates for Free 'Pet Photos with Santa' Events

Pet owners in North Myrtle Beach and the surrounding Grand Strand will have two opportunities late this fall to capture holiday memories with their domestic animals during the annual Pet Photos with Santa event. Hosted by the City of North Myrtle Beach, the free community gatherings welcome residents and visitors to bring their well-behaved family pets for a personal visit with Santa Claus.

The festive meet-and-greets will take place at the Large Dog Park inside the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex, located at 150 Citizens Circle in Little River. Two morning sessions are scheduled: the first on Sunday, November 29, 2026, and the second on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Both sessions will run from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Attending families and pet owners should bring their own cameras or smartphones to photograph their pets with Santa, as no professional photography package is required. The open-air setting at the park provides a spacious environment for pets and their owners to queue comfortably while enjoying the holiday atmosphere.

To ensure a safe and organized experience for all attendees, event coordinators require that all participating dogs remain securely on leashes throughout their visit. Any other domestic pets brought to the park must be properly contained in carriers or appropriate enclosures. Only well-behaved pets will be permitted to participate.
