North Myrtle Beach Plans First Annual Family Formal for 2027

The City of North Myrtle Beach will host its first annual Family Formal in 2027 at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center, located at 1030 Possum Trot Road. Designed as a new Valentine’s Day tradition for local families, the special evening offers parents, guardians, and children an opportunity to dress in formal attire and celebrate together in a community setting.

The event is ideal for children ages 4 to 12 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Festivities will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature a full evening of entertainment. Planned activities include a catered dinner, sweet treats, photo opportunities, a DJ playing music for dancing, and a family dance competition.

Because capacity inside the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center is limited, this is a strictly ticketed event. Admission tickets will be required for all attendees, including both children and adults. Pricing details and the official start date for ticket sales will be announced by the city's Parks and Recreation department once finalized. Tickets will be available for purchase online until the event reaches capacity.

Residents who purchase tickets in advance should prepare for check-in on the night of the event by printing their digital tickets or taking a screenshot of each individual ticket on a mobile device. Purchase receipts can be accessed through user accounts on the city's registration portal.
